The City Government of Muntinlupa awards cash incentives to top performers in all public schools for their academic achievement and continuing financial support to public Senior High School graduates.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi leads the distribution of Honor Cash Incentives for the overall Top 10 Completers and Graduates in all Muntinlupa Public Schools starting April.
For Grade 6, students in the honor roll receive (Top 1-3) P5,000, (Top 4-6) P4,000, and (Top 7-10) P3,000. While students in Grade 10 and 12 receive (Top 1-3) P10,000, (Top 4-6) P7,500, and (Top 7-10) P5,000.
Since 2014, the cash incentive program for honor students has been facilitated by the Muntinlupa Scholarship Program. This year, almost 250 students will be receiving the incentive.
The local government also rewards Top 1 students of all sections from Grade 1 to 12 in all Public Schools with P1,000 cash incentive each through the STudents with Awesome Records (STAR).
Graduating public Senior High School (SHS) students will also receive P5,000 Scholarship Voucher. Public SHS graduates enrolling to any college/university/tech-voc institution of their choice may avail of the Basic Scholarship assistance.
An estimated 4,700 public SHS graduates will benefit from the scholarship assistance.
“The local government is committed in helping our students pursue academic excellence through scholarship services and other programs,” Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said.
Eligible graduates may apply for the said program at the MSP office located at Plaza Central, Brgy. Poblacion with tel. no. 400-0866.
