Studying in Muntinlupa City has its privileges.
Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi announced on Monday that graduating public Senior High School (SHS) students will receive Continuing Education Financial Assistance voucher amounting to P5,000 from the City Government.
Fresnedi said that public SHS graduates enrolling to any tertiary educational institution or technical-vocational school may avail of the Basic Scholarship assistance.
An estimated 1,175 public SHS graduates will benefit from the assistance to be facilitated by the Muntinlupa Scholarship Program (MSP).
“The local government is committed in helping our students pursue academic route through scholarship services and other programs,” Fresnedi said.
Eligible graduates may apply for the said program at the MSP office located at Plaza Central, Brgy. Poblacion with tel. no. 400-0866.
The local exec also welcomed the inclusion of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa in Republic Act 10931 or the “Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act” granting free tuition and other fees for students.
Fresnedi lauded PLMun administrators for complying in all institutional and program requirements under the law which resulted to its inclusion.
RA 10931 covers 112 state universities and colleges (SUCs) and 78 local universities and colleges nationwide.
