Councilor STEPHANIE G. TEVES

 

Also known as PHANIE TEVES, 31 years old, is the eldest and one and only daughter of former Vice Mayor of Naujan Oriental Mindoro Henry Joel C. Teves and Political Adviser Ma. Luisa Galan Teves. She Studied in San Beda College in Alabang which earned her a degree in Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial Management.  Graduated with a degree of master’s in public administration at Ateneo School of Government.

PHANIE TEVES came from prominent political clan of Teves’s.   At a very young age she was already exposed in all kind of community services, helping the public and giving all form of aid and assistance to the needy and under privilege.   Her Grandfather Barangay Captain Danilo Teves and brother former SK Chairman/Councilor Dann Henry Teves supported her in her intention to further help the citizenry of Muntinlupa specially the youth.  She ran for councilor of First District of Muntinlupa and eventually won placing 4th place in 2013 local election, she was re-elected for the second term in 2016, maintaining the chairmanship on Committee on Education which aim to provide the youth to free education, scholarship grants, and financial assistance among others.   

As a young Councilor, her heart goes to the youth of the land specially in her hometown, she dreamt of assuring their bright future for them to achieve economic and family stability through continuing scholarship, and free education program. She spearheaded the deliberation and approval of many ordinances related to education program and projects of the City of Muntinlupa. Currently, she is also the chairman of the Committee on Communication and Public Information that sanction matters related to the operation and establishment of radio communication system, radio and television stations; construction of cellular tower sites; construction, installation, operations and maintenance of community antennae television System external billboards and other forms of media, and other communication system in which the public is entitled to be informed. She is also a member of different committees of the 8th Sangguniang Panglungsod of City of Muntinlupa. She allotted Scholarship grants and educational assistance to poor and qualified students.    provides continuing financial assistance for medicine needs, helps patients to lessen hospital bill, burial assistance, nebulizer and wheelchair to PWD. Maintaining tie up with various youth organization/federation she adherently supports youth events, programs and celebration with any form of assistance. She is very much incline in promoting youth welfare and women empowerment, offering free Training program for skill works, livelihood training, and creation of  loan and financial cooperative association. Aside from her busy political commitments, Coun. Phanie Teves did part time job as professor of Public Governance subject in Pamantasang Lungsod ng Muntinlupa to impart knowledge to the students on upright governmental rules and procedures. As a private entrepreneur Coun. Phanie Teves manages her business with an effort of augmenting her capacity to give more assistance to the poor and the needy. 

She firmly believed that “EVERYONE COULD BE A BLESSINGS TO OTHERS, IF EARS CAN HEAR, HEART LISTENS”.
