Brgy. Putatan


BARANGAY PUTATAN is one of the 9th largest barangay of Muntinlupa City. The total land area of the barangay is estimated around 6,746 square kilometers (km2). According to the last census (2010) undertaken by National Statistics Office (NSO), it has a population of 82,015 and registered voters of 63,000 in 2016.

Putatan is located at the south of the City of Muntinlupa under National Capital Region (NCR) or Metro Manila. It is bounded by barangays—Alabang and Bayanan on the north, the Laguna de Bay on the east, the Muntinlupa Poblacion on the south; and barangay AyalaAlabang on the west.


Putatan was named after a plant abundant in the area, the Putat a species of Barringtonia native to mangrove habitats on the tropical coasts and islands of the Indian Ocean and western Pacific Ocean from Zanzibar coasts to Taiwan, the Philippines, Fuji, New Caledonia, Solomon Islands, the Cook Islands, Wallis and Futuna and French Polynesia.


To make our barangay socially and economically progressive, environmentally sustainable and responsive to the interest and needs of the people by providing public services and infrastructures coupled with public accountability and good governance.

Barangay Putatan is divided into four (4) political cluster areas like: Proper Putatan, Lakeview, SMC (Soldiers, Mutual and Camella Areas) and Summitville.
