89,976 beneficiaries in Muntinlupa have already received their financial assistance from the local government via digital wallet as of August 12, two days after the start of cash aid distribution in Metro Manila under the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
At least 89,976 initial beneficiaries from the city’s eight barangays received their ‘ayuda’ via online payment service GCash. For the initial distribution, the local government has released 89,976,000 pesos.
ECQ ayuda beneficiaries received 1,000 pesos per individual and up to 4,000 pesos per family.
The local government partnered with GCash for a contactless mode of distribution to ensure the residents’ safety from further COVID-19 transmissions.
“Minabuti ng Pamahalaang Lungsod na magsagawa ng online distribution upang siguruhin ang kaligtasan ng lahat mula sa COVID-19,” the City Government of Muntinlupa posted on its Facebook page.
Muntinlupa cash aid beneficiaries are enjoined to create their verified GCash accounts and register their details via tinyurl.com/Ayuda-ECQ-Munti. Meanwhile, dependents of head of households who died but are still part of the list and previous beneficiaries who are not part of the current list may register online via tinyurl.com/Appeals-Ayuda-ECQ-Munti for validation.
In a separate announcement, the local government also advised beneficiaries that they may use the GCash verified accounts of their family members as long as they are declared as official dependents in their previous registration.
While cash aid payouts in the city are facilitated primarily through an online payment service, the local government eyes to conduct a manual payout scheme for those who are unable to claim their financial assistance thru GCash.
The deadline of registration of GCash account details is extended until August 15 (9:00pm). The local government noted that there will be extension of deadline to accommodate beneficiaries who are experiencing delays with their verification.
Further, the Social Service Department simultaneously distributes food packs to augment assistance for residents affected by the ECQ. SSD Muntinlupa recorded 1,569 food packs released to various communities in the city as of August 10.
