MUNTI EYES TO MANDATE VENTILATION UPGRADES IN ESTABS

Amid rising COVID-19 active cases in the city, Committee on Health, Sanitation, and Infrastructure chairmen Coun. Allan Rey Camilon and Coun. Luisito Arciaga led a public hearing for the proposed mandatory installation of “negative pressure system” in local establishments last March 18. Camilon pushes for ventilation system upgrades to increase the delivery of clean air and dilute potential contaminants in enclosed establishments as a preventive measure to lessen the risk of COVID-19 transmissions. As of March 17, Muntinlupa City has 5,999 confirmed cases with 5,553 recoveries, 268 active cases, 178 reported deaths, 92 suspect cases, and 426 probable cases.
