22 displaced workers in Muntinlupa City received free bicycles from the Department of Labor and Employment last October 26 through the agency’s Free Bisikleta (FREEBIS) Project. The project aims to ease unemployment by providing livelihood opportunities to workers in the formal and informal sectors displaced by the COVID-19 pandemic. Other items given to beneficiaries include a helmet, water bottle, holder, carrier, mudguard (front & back), reflectorize vest, PVC raincoat, thermal bag, dole sticker logo, and one android phone with loading wallet and sim card which they can use to start a new business or work as delivery service riders.
