MUNTI LGU UPGRADES DOCUMENT AND DATA SECURITY WITH DOXCHECK
MUNTI UPGRADES DOCS VERIFICATION: Muntinlupa LGU partners with Doxcheck for the upgrade of document verification and authentication in the city last November 2. Through the Doxcheck Document Security System can now check, approve or hold the releases of documents to eliminate fraud facilitations and unauthorized releases. Shown in the photo are: (L-R) Business Permits and Licensing Office Division Chief Eli Hilapo, City Administrator Allan Cachuela, Doxcheck CEO Joseph Sarmiento, Mayor Jaime Fresnedi, Local Economic and Investment Promotion Officer Gary Llamas, City Budget Officer Lolet Morales, and BPLO Division Chief Abby Sagum-Garcia.
To ensure authenticity of submitted requirements and combat identity theft, the City Government of Muntinlupa is set to utilize Doxcheck Document Security System for verification of documents.
Muntinlupa LGU through the Business Permits and Licensing Office entered a memorandum of agreement with Doxcheck Inc., a Singapore-based company which provides proprietary technology for simplified and secure document verification and authentication, last November 2 for the implementation of the security system.
Muntinlupa City is the first LGU to avail of the said security system.
Piloting in Muntinlupa BPLO, this will allow the local government to provide a more efficient way of issuing business permits and to monitor all registered local businesses and the legitimacy of its licenses.
Documents will be generated using existing system or through the Doxcheck system and will be uploaded and stored in a secured centralized online portal.
A unique Doxcheck Global Code shall be assigned for every document. Through a 2048-bit data security encryption, appointed persons may now check, approve or hold the releases of documents to eliminate fraud facilitations and unauthorized releases.
Documents that may be verified include business permits, government licenses, government IDs, diplomas, transcript of records, certificates, among others.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said the partnership will speed up the process of issuance and verification of business permits and protect the welfare of business owners in Muntinlupa.
“The local government takes authenticating of documents in a higher notch as we aspire to be the benchmark of good governance and ease of doing business in the country,” Fresnedi said.
Recently, Muntinlupa City was adjudged as the Most Business-Friendly LGU for Highly Urbanized Cities by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Muntinlupa City positions itself to be one of the highly-regarded institutions and the leading investment hub in the country.
