SOCIALIZED HOUSING PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION

  • In 1995, Task Force on Human Settlements was established, purposely for socialized housing.
  • In 1996, a City Council Resolution No. 96-91 was passed creating Urban Poor Affairs Office (UPAO).
  • In 1998 up to present, socialized housing concern was included as one of the eight-point program of the City Mayor.

FUNCTION

To uplift the living conditions of the underprivileged and homeless citizens by making a secured, decent and affordable  low-cost and other mass dwelling, basic services and facilities, employment and livelihood opportunities.

GOAL

To develop a self-reliant and self-sufficient community where people live in peace, justice, prosperity and harmony.
